Fall is in the air and leaves are starting to hit the ground, which means state fair season has arrived.
Krispy Kreme is celebrating the start of a new season by unveiling a new doughnut collection inspired by the “sights, smells, and iconic tastes of your favorite seasonal fairgrounds, no ticket required,” the doughnut chain announced on Monday, Sept. 15.
The collection, called the Fall Fair Collection, will be available at participating Krispy Kreme shops nationwide for a limited time beginning on Sept. 15 and will feature four new flavors:
The collection is available in-shop and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website, individually and by the dozen, Krispy Kreme said in a news release.
McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme both announced the end of their partnership on on June 24.
Earlier this year, the fast food giant began offering three types of Krispy Kreme treats at around 2,400 McDonald’s locations, including Original Glazed Doughnuts, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnuts and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled Doughnuts. Unfortunately, the offerings failed to be successful, according to the companies. The doughnuts stopped being sold from McDonald’s locations on July 2.
After parting ways, Krispy Kreme plans to prioritize expanding availability of its doughnuts while McDonald’s focuses on building the success of its breakfast business.
