No fees on first issue, renewal of licenses for food businesses from Nov. 2025 to Oct. 2026
The Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) will waive the fees for the first issue or renewal of hawker licences, food business licences, and restricted food permits from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026, in a bid to ease the operations of small and medium enterprises.
“The measure aims to support small and medium enterprises and alleviate pressure on business operations,” the FEHD spokesperson said.
This covers hawker applicants, licensees, or permittees who avail renew their licenses in FEHD offices or websites that will operate during the mentioned period.
For applicants, licensees or permittees who have already paid for fees for their licences or permits, FEHD will notify them in writing and arrange for refunds accordingly, the agency said.
