Brawo USA Inc. invests $23.2M to expand Laurens County operations – Upstate Business Journal

Brawo USA Inc. plans to complete a $23.2 million expansion of its Laurens County operations.
The investment will add 30,000 square feet to the company’s existing facility at 499 Hunter Industrial Park Road. It will also bring in new machinery and advanced manufacturing equipment to increase the company’s production capacity and technological capabilities.
Silvio Fappani, general manager of Brawo USA, said the expansion is a testament to the company’s long-term commitment to Laurens County and to strengthening the U.S. manufacturing footprint of Brawo Group.
Brawo USA, part of Brawo Group and the Holding Umberto Gnutti Group, specializes in forging and machining of brass and other non-ferrous metals. The company manufactures components for valves and fittings in the industrial, plumbing and gas industries.
Twenty-four new jobs are anticipated to be created as part of the expansion. Brawo USA’s expanded operations are expected to be up and running in 2026. Gov. Henry McMaster said Brawo USA’s expansion announcement is a clear indication of the company’s confidence in Laurens Road and South Carolina.
“This $23.2 million investment will add to the strength of our state’s thriving manufacturing industry and have a significant impact in the Laurens County community,” McMaster said.
The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits for the projects and awarded a $250,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant to Laurens County. The grant will assist with building improvement costs.
“Laurens County continues to be a place where business not only locates but thrives for years to come, as evidenced by Brawo USA’s new expansion,” said Laurens County Council Chairman Jeff Carroll. “Brawo USA has been a longtime partner in our community, and we are excited about their new chapter.”
