MRO Europe 2025: Caerdav announces new consignment agreement with Aerospheres – Aviation Business News

Independent UK MRO, Caerdav, has entered into a comprehensive new consignment agreement with MRO supplier Aerospheres in a move designed to streamline the acquisition and supply of important maintenance stock.
The new deal will see the company maintain stock levels across a wide range of materials, including tapes, oils, sealants, adhesives, composites and more, at its St. Athan facility.
Caerdav says the agreement underlines the progressive steps both companies are taking to support their continued growth strategies.
Chris Coleman, chief executive at Caerdav, said: “As we begin to consistently fill our recently launched fourth line, we need to ensure we have access to the materials needed to support the wide range of maintenance solutions we deliver to our customers.
“What sets Aerospheres apart is the work the team has done to understand our business, offering us a flexible solution that will help to avoid potential supply chain issues, allowing us to consistently reach the level of service our expanding customer base expects.”
Caerdav says that key to the deal is Aerospheres’ ability to consolidate a process formerly managed through multiple suppliers, helping to improve efficiency by streamlining the time taken to source and order spares.
With access to close to $20 million of stock, the company can help cut freight costs and the associated CO2 emissions related to its transport. While its ‘pay on consumption’ model also helps to improve cash flow.
Paul Thompson, chief executive at Aerospheres, said: “Caerdav has recognised the savings that can be made in purchase administration, inventory holding and reduced scrappage costs, and we are delighted to be working with Chris and his team.”
Thanks to a new state-of-the-art facility in Hemel Hempstead – which opened for operations on September 1 –
Aerospheres opened a new state-of-the-art facility in Hemel Hempstead in September 2025 which has boosted its storage capacity and enhanced its logistics capabilities. The firm says this will help support Caerdav’s increasing workload primarily across Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
The agreement was announced during the Aviation Week MRO Europe 2025 event in London.
