EV charging station opens at Pendelton’s Wildhorse – Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business

Wildhorse Resort & Casino has partnered with XCharge to bring four EV chargers to an Oregon travel plaza.
Electric vehicle drivers along Interstate 84 can now power up before tackling Cabbage Hill and the long stretches of Eastern Oregon highways, thanks to the opening of a new charging station in Pendleton, Oregon.
The station is the first solar-plus-storage DC fast-charging station in the state.
EV charging company XCharge North America partnered with Wildhorse Resort & Casino to bring the four GridLink chargers to Wildhorse’s Arrowhead Travel Plaza at 72485 Highway 331. The plaza serves over 1.7 million vehicles a year.
“This project supports the Tribe’s dedication to sustainable practices and our mission to deliver a forward-thinking experience for all guests and travelers,” said Gary E. George, CEO at Wildhorse Resort & Casino, in a news release.
The Texas-based XCharge serves customers in 18 states.
