UK: EG Steele has entered into a framework agreement with its long-standing customer Mandy Rail to supply, store and handle new and reconditioned wagon and bogie components. It will work with an extensive supply chain network to provide next-day delivery to anywhere in the UK as the maintenance company requires.
‘We have enjoyed a blossoming partnership with Mandy Rail since their company began six years ago, and we’re delighted to formalise this partnership with the new framework agreement’, said EG Steele director Alan Steele, great grandson of the founder, on November 5. ‘It seems fitting that, as one of the UK’s oldest independent, family-run businesses in rail, we are supporting the next generation of family-run businesses in Mandy Rail.’
The product range includes buffing and drawgear components, suspension parts, air brake components, brake blocks and pads and wheelsets. EG Steele also offers a rapid component overhaul service using OEM parts.
