The park’s 1980s-era fountain and arch are being removed, the stage and play area are being upgraded, and paving and landscaping improvements will be made.
Downtown Seattle’s Westlake Park closed last month and will reopen with upgraded infrastructure ahead of the start of 2026 FIFA World Cup events in the city in June.
