When will Trump head back to Mar-a-Lago? Florida social season starts soon – USA Today

President Donald Trump has spent many weekends at his golf clubs in the northeast this summer. But with the imminent chilly weather, it may be time for him to head back to the Winter White House.
Trump visited his Palm Beach, Florida, estate Mar-a-Lago 10 times since taking office on Jan. 20.
In the meantime, he has made some changes to the actual White House that mirror Mar-a-Lago, like golden details in the Oval Office and a new patio in the Rose Garden. Construction may be underway at Mar-a-Lago shortly as well. A request has been filed to install a new helipad for Marine One at the estate (the one installed in his first term was destroyed due to a condition from the Town Council).
So when will he be back at his Florida estate? Here is what we know:
A few clues point to him returning Oct. 17.
Trump is expected to be the keynote speaker at a $1 million-per-plate fundraiser for super PAC MAGA Inc. on Oct. 17, according to an invitation obtained by CNN.
Temporary flight restrictions of the level implemented when the president travels are expected from Oct. 17-19, the Boca Raton Airport Authority said in an Oct. 9 notice emailed to its tenants. Such advisories have served since Trump’s first term in office as reliable indicators of the timing and duration of his trips to Mar-a-Lago, though typically he flies into the Palm Beach International Airport.
The White House did not respond to an inquiry about his travel plans to Mar-a-Lago.
What we do know is Trump is scheduled to be in Miami on Nov. 5 to speak at the America Business Forum at the Kaseya Center, which is the home arena of the NBA’s Miami Heat.
Trump’s most recent visit to “the island,” as locals call it, was from May 1-4.
If Trump does come on Oct. 17, it would be an earlier-than-usual return to Palm Beach for Trump ahead of the island’s social season, and before the Mar-a-Lago Club has its season-opening party on Halloween. The traditional social season starts ramping up around Thanksgiving and slowing down after Easter.
