SFI, Futian join hands to boost development
Shenzhen Finance Institute (SFI) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) and the Futian District Government signed a strategic cooperation framework Wednesday morning in Futian to jointly boost the district’s high-quality development.
It is reported that the two sides will make full use of the financial resources of Futian as the city’s financial center and SFI’s advantages in cultivating talented people and doing scientific research to innovate collaborative models and deepen strategic cooperation.
The cooperation was created to play a significant role in cultivating and introducing more talented professionals in the financial industry from Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which also marks another important stage for the development of SFI as well as higher education in Futian District.
Xu Yangsheng, president of CUHK-SZ, expects SFI to give a renewed impetus to Futian’s financial industry and contribute to building Shenzhen into a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Zheng Hongbo, Party chief of Futian District, believes that SFI will support the district to promote high-quality development, to gather high-quality talented people, and to become a model for the financial industry, adding that it will also support the city to become a regional international financial center.
Futian is ramping up efforts to build a new financial center in Xiangmihu. In recent years, the district has also continued strengthening cooperation with top universities around the world to promote the integration of industry and scientific research.
