Haiwen recruits capital markets partner in Hong Kong – Law.asia

Haiwen & Partners has hired Zheng Jianhao as a partner at its Hong Kong office, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in offshore capital markets and financing transactions.
Zheng has 16 years of experience in Hong Kong listings and capital markets transactions. He has acted for clients on HKEX main board listings, spanning sectors including life sciences, technology, media and telecommunications, and financial services.
Before joining Haiwen, Zheng worked as a counsel at Slaughter and May for seven years, and previously practised at Loeb & Loeb, Shearman & Sterling and Hogan Lovells.
He advised on several landmark Hong Kong IPOs, including SenseTime Group’s debut in 2021, which was the first AI company to be listed in Asia, and Zijin Gold International’s listing, one of the largest IPOs in the city in 2025.
“Zheng’s extensive experience in Hong Kong listings and equity capital markets closely aligns with Haiwen’s strategic commitment to expanding our Hong Kong platform and enhancing our international capital markets capabilities,” said Zhang Jiping, managing partner of Haiwen.
