Indiana is playing Miami football in the CFP national championship game. Follow live updateshere.
After five months and hundreds of games, the 2025 college football season is down to its final 60 minutes, with a champion set to be crowned.
No. 1 Indiana will look to cap off a perfect season tonight and complete one of the most remarkable turnarounds in American sports history when it takes on No. 10 Miami in the championship game of the College Football Playoff at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Coach Curt Cignetti‘s Hoosiers have been dominant on their way to the title game, beating No. 9 Alabama in the Rose Bowl and No. 5 Oregon in the Peach Bowl by a combined 69 points. In those victories, star quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner and presumed No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, threw more touchdowns (eight) than incompletions (five).
The Hurricanes, meanwhile, are in their first national championship game in 23 years behind a spirited postseason run that has included wins against, in order, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 2 Ohio State and No. 6 Mississippi.
