Steffel Spangrud will focus her practice in the areas of employment and municipal law while serving as an assistant city attorney for the City of Alexandria and surrounding communities.
She has experience guiding employers and employees through various legal issues and regularly provides employment-related trainings and legislative updates to employers and Human Resource personnel.
Steffel Spangrud said she thoroughly enjoys educating her clients and the community on the ever-changing landscape of employment law, and helping employers stay informed, proactive, and confident as they navigate complex workplace issues.
She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025). In addition, she was named as a Top 5 Professional under 40 by the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and is a 2020 graduate of the Leadership Alexandria Program.
In 2024, she was awarded the Dream Builder Award by Lakes Area Professional Women in recognition of her hard work and dedication to creating a space and place for women in a traditionally male-dominated profession.
Outside of her practice, Steffel Spangrud serves as an attorney coach for the Alexandria Area High School Mock Trial Team and is an active member and Past President of Lakes Area Professional Women. Katelyn and her husband live in Alexandria with their two children, where they are active in cribbage league, and enjoy weekends on the lake with friends and family.

Anderson was promoted to the field manager position. “Our goal at Sota Cleaning Co. has always been simple: Create opportunities, serve the community well, and build a workplace people are proud to be part of,” said owner Angela Rantasha in a news release. “Tori Anderson’s promotion to field manager reflects our ongoing commitment to leadership development.”
Anderson has been an integral part of the team, consistently demonstrating reliability, leadership, and a strong commitment to quality. She leads by example, whether she’s supporting teammates on a challenging deep clean, stepping in to problem-solve on a busy day, or ensuring clients receive the consistent service they expect, according to Rantasha.
The field manager role is a key leadership position within the company. It includes operational oversight, team training and development, quality assurance and mentorship. “Tori will play an important role in helping new team members grow their skills, upholding cleaning standards, and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment,” Rantasha said. “We believe leadership is built from within. Tori has earned the respect of her peers and consistently shows the initiative and integrity we value. We are excited to see her step into this next chapter.”
As Sota Cleaning Co. continues to grow, promoting strong leaders internally remains a priority. Anderson’s advancement reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to professional development and creating long-term career paths in the cleaning industry, said Rantasha.
Lysfjord was promoted to the lead trainer position. “At Sota Cleaning Co., training is of the utmost importance. It’s the foundation of our quality, our consistency, and our culture,” said Rantasha.
Lysfjord has a natural eye for detail, takes pride in her work, and truly cares about doing things the right way. But what stands out even more is how she helps others, Rantasha said. “She answers questions without hesitation, demonstrates techniques with patience, and holds our standards high not in a critical way, but in a ‘let’s do this well together’ kind of way.”
As lead trainer, Lysfjord will guide new hires through hands-on training and continue developing the skills of the current team. She’ll help ensure every home is cleaned consistently and professionally, and that team members feel confident walking into any house on their schedule, Rantasha said.

“We believe strong training builds strong teams. And strong teams build strong businesses,” Rantasha said. “Watching team members grow into leadership roles is one of my favorite parts of owning this company. Mariah has earned this. We’re proud of her, excited for her, and grateful she’s helping shape the future of Sota Cleaning Co.”
