The 1950s terminal is being rebuilt to make it seismically sound, reduce the risk of damage from rising sea levels, and address long waiting lines.
Washington State Ferries is moving forward with plans to build a 124-155 vehicle replacement for the aging Fauntleroy ferry terminal in West Seattle.
