Hundreds of people are expected to attend an Oxford ‘patriots march’ and counter protest tomorrow.
Thames Valley Police have given the go-ahead for the ‘patriots march’ on Saturday, December 20, though have refused to allow tractors in the procession.
It will see people meet at St Clement’s Street at noon before marching to Bonn Square in the city centre.

Aiden Noble, one of the organisers, said that around 150 people are expected and that “everyone is welcome, no matter what race or religion”.
He added that people should bring their Christmas hats as they march for local communities and because “we want Labour out”.
He said: “When borders aren’t managed properly and illegal immigration is allowed to continue without control, it’s our towns and our people who feel the effects.”
This upcoming protest follows other recent demonstrations outside the Holiday Inn Express on Grenoble Road near the Kassam Stadium.

At these the Oxford Stand Up To Racism group has organised counter protests and is planning another this Saturday.
Ian Mckendrick vice-chair of Oxford Stand Up To Racism said: “The “patriots” group has been stoking up racism in Oxford for months now by circulating misinformation that refugees and anti-racists pose a threat to women and children.”
He added: “The patriots group is claiming their march is to defend local communities – but they have zero support from local community organisations and have in fact reached out to racist and fascist groups across the South to come to Oxford in support of their march.”
