SEVEN HILLS, Ohio

An officer talked to the man, who said, as the head of IT for a Rockside Road company, the previous week he discovered wire fraud took place in November.
The incident involved a scammer using a fraudulent email domain — which was very close to the actual address — notifying the company about an outstanding balance.

A week later the business was notified from its actual supplier that they had yet to receive payment.
The caller believed the company was insured but needed a police report.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
