KINGSTON, N.Y. — Murder Café will offer a new version of its Valentine-themed dinner theater experience, “A Recipe to Die For,” in Kingston and West Park in February.
The performances will take place on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Venue at the Best Western, 503 Washington Ave., Kingston, and on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Valley Distillery,  1835 U.S. Route  9W, in West Park.
The interactive show combines music, mystery and comedy. Three guests will be cast as judges. Those who guess the “whodunit” will be eligible for prizes.
This year’s plot surrounds four celebrity bakers being asked to prepare an original Valentine’s Day dessert recipe, Murder Café owner Frank Marquette said in a prepared statement. “On hand to oversee the bake-off will be Danny Glaze, the master of ceremonies, and celebrated food critic Francine Lydecker, who, along with several audience members, will act as judges,” he added. “Murder is also on the menu and it will take a visit from local CSI investigators to determine whodunit and why.”
The cast features the talents of Lauren Roberts, David Britton, Mactier Freeman, Jeremy Ratel, Kate Podell and Erica Woolley.
Tickets include a buffet dinner with entrée choices, sides, salads and desserts.
