How to download CS:GO as a separate application following relaunch – Dust2.us

Several days ago, community members noticed that CS:GO returned as a separate store page from CS2. Before the release of CS2, new entries were listed on different store pages to allow players to download multiple games on one computer. Valve took a different approach with the transition away from CS:GO by making the game a secondary branch of CS2, meaning you could not have both on one device.
Years after CS2’s release, Valve has now added a separate Steam page for CS:GO, finally allowing you to download both. Here’s how to do it.
While the CS:GO page now exists, you still can’t find it by searching on the store, as it’s unlisted. Instead, go to a browser and input the page link to get there:
Once on that page, you can add the game to your Steam library as a separate entry from CS2. Then, go to your Steam library game list and navigate to CS:GO, which should be there now. Once you click it, you should have the option to download it.
Once the game is done downloading, you’re good to go! Though Valve’s servers are offline, you can still open the game and play with bots or in some community servers. Have fun!
