A WOMAN claimed people have been “luring” seagulls into the middle of a road in Rhyl.
Non-profit organisation Foundation For Feathered Friends (FFFF), which seeks to help wild birds in the UK, said one of its volunteers, Jane, came across four gulls “mown down” on Grange Road last Thursday (July 4).
She stopped and moved three to the side, while took the one gull which was “still barely alive” home with her.

FFFF added: “There were entrails spewed onto the road and there was food next to one of them.
“Sadly, the last one died soon after.
“What sort of a person gets their jollies by luring birds that are desperate for food for their chicks into the road and killing them?
“That may be four families of gulls impacted now. Do they walk around looking like normal humans?”
FFFF also labelled Rhyl the “prime contender for gull abuse capital of North Wales”.
A spokesperson for the organisation added: “We have had the most horrifically injured gulls in Rhyl.
“We had four reports for the same gull, which we could only take to vet for euthanasia.
“The abuse is constant, in one way or another. We have also tried to draw attention to the shootings, which have been worse this year than ever, in Prestatyn and Rhyl, with no success.”
