Native Bloom Trading owners Alison Aranda and Letisha Peterson gather with family, friends and City of Zillah officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, in front of their new business at 1004 Vintage Village Parkway.
Native Bloom Trading, a Native women-owned bead and supply store in Zillah, celebrated its grand opening Saturday.
Located at 1004 Vintage Valley Parkway between Munchi Snack Bar and Smiley’s Café, Native Bloom Trading offers beads, fabric, ribbon, fringe, crafting and sewing supplies and other items related to Indigenous-inspired arts and creativity, owners Alison Aranda and Letisha Peterson said.
“Native Bloom Trading was born from a shared dream between two Native women who envisioned creating a space centered around creativity, culture, community, and the art of beading,” Aranda and Peterson said in an email to the Yakima Herald-Republic.
The two full-time working mothers said they built the store from the ground up, creating a business they had dreamed of owning and stocking it with a variety of Indigenous-inspired creative and crafting supplies.
They said their hope is to create a welcoming destination for artists, crafters, beadworkers, and community members looking for supplies and inspiration.
“Building Native Bloom Trading has been a blessing of healing and joy,” Aranda and Peterson said. “There have been sacrifices along the way, but every moment has been worth it. With the love and support of so many people, we are incredibly excited and thankful for this journey and for everyone who has helped us get here.”
Once the storefront is open for business and the foundation of the shop is fully established, the founders plan to expand online with an E-commerce store — making Native Bloom Trading’s selection of supplies accessible to customers beyond the local community.

The Vintage Valley Parkway Plaza was built by Complete Restoration and Construction. Directly across the parkway from Yakima Chief Ranches, it spans 15,000 square feet across two buildings and offers eight retail, restaurant and professional office areas.
The parkway itself is a 3-mile-long corridor along I-82 that begins and ends near two highway interchanges. It was dedicated and opened in November 2022 with lighting and walking trails to connect business storefronts and the existing and new homes planned at nearby Zillah Lakes.
