Customers of Advance Financial 24/7, a pay lender, were confronted with a sign on Tuesday alerting them that all but one location in the Tri-Cities is now closed.
News 5 spoke with an employee, who wished to remain anonymous, telling us customers were showing up to get money to pay their bills, only to find locked doors.
According to a company spokesperson, the company is restructuring to "better align with current customer demands."
The company did not say how many employees were laid off.
