GreatAmerica Financial Services has announced the following new team members: Emma Welter, account support advisor I; Kenny Trimble, director, BSA officer; Mark Fishburn, technology change management specialist; and Nathaniel Bishop, portfolio manager I.
Noah Herkert, PA-C, has joined the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery team at Mercy’s Plumb Heart Center.
Logan Anderson has joined Hills Bank as first VP, credit underwriting, in the Hills office.
Ribbon-cutting: Wendler Inc. will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its new headquarters at 15 12th Ave. SE from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8. Vendors, partners, members of the media, community members and industry peers are invited to join the celebration. With more than 50 years of experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment facilities, flood mitigation systems, deep foundations and high-voltage electrical work, Wendler’s new headquarters represents a strategic investment in innovation, collaboration and operations.
Small Business of the Week: U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, has announced Mill Creek Cafe of Cedar County in Eastern Iowa as her small business of the week.
Founded in 2010 by Jamie Wilhua and Marcia Syring, Mill Creek Cafe offers a rotating six-week menu featuring a wide variety of made-from-scratch meals and desserts. Built to meet the needs of a small town, the cafe in Clarence has become a local staple known for its warm atmosphere, consistency and commitment to quality.
Ernst, chair of the Senate’s Small Business Committee, is naming one exceptional small business of the week in each of Iowa’s counties during this congressional session.
