PARKS TOWSHIP, Pa. — A woman is dead after an early morning shooting at an Armstrong County business.
An Armstrong County 911 official confirms to Channel 11 that there was a shooting at Niki’s Quick Six along 1st Street in Parks Township. The official could not say how many people were hurt or killed in the incident.
Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers later confirmed that Jessica Lynn Hillard, 34, of Apollo, was shot and died on scene. Her manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning is the agency investigating. The only information they’ve released so far is that the suspect is in custody and there are no public safety concerns at this time.
