　国家海洋局極地観測弁公室の秦為稼室長は14日、中国第36次南極観測隊と「雪竜2号」が15日、深セン市から出港すると発表した。今回は2船・4カ所の観測任務を実施するという。中国が初めて独自建造した極地科学観測砕氷船「雪竜2号」が南極を初航行し、「雪竜1号」と共に極地を観測する。中国極地観測の新たな体制を始動させる。新華網が伝えた。　「雪竜1号」と比べて、雪竜2号の最大の特徴は、構造強度がPC3基準に達しており、双方向で砕氷できる点にある。双方向の砕氷速度は2-3ノットで、0.2メートルの雪が積もった厚さ1.5メートルの氷を連続で砕く能力を持つ。これは国際的に主流な極地中型砕氷船型であり、世界で初めて船首・船尾双方向の砕氷技術を採用した極地科学観測砕氷船でもある。これは中国の極地観測エリア・季節が大幅に拡大・延長されることを意味する。　雪竜2号はまず中山基地で作業を展開する。その後引き続き南極海の総合観測及び長城基地の観測を行い、来年3月下旬に帰国する予定。雪竜号は今月22日に上海から出発し、まず中山基地で作業を実施する。その後引き続きロス海とアムンゼン海のプロジェクト及び科学観測作業を実施する。デービス海、プリッツ湾を経由し、中山基地に戻り作業してから帰国する。来年4月中旬に上海に帰港する予定。 source
